SEBASTIAN CHILLEMI

– ARGENTINA –

Sebastián Chillemi

I am a painter and illustration artist, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1968. Since 1989, I have been fully dedicated to the arts, refining my skills through studies with local artists and professors, and at the Argentine Congress National Studio of Art.

Over the years, my work has received recognition in various competitions, including winning third prize in drawing at the Argentine National Hall of Visual Arts. I have had the privilege of exhibiting both in Argentina and internationally. In 2010 and 2017, I collaborated with my friend and colleague, Pablo Salvadó, for exhibitions at Soka University of America in Southern California. In 2011, I was invited to lead a drawing and painting workshop in Toledo, Spain, and I was also commissioned by the Spanish fashion brand Nice Things Paloma S. to contribute artwork to several of their collections.

In 2016, my work was exhibited in São Paulo, Brazil, and in 2020, I designed the album cover art for the San Diego-based band Be Mine Phantom Valentine’s “End Game.” In 2021, my pieces were displayed at AT 388 gallery in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and that same year, I took part in the “La Violencia en el Espacio” (Violence in Space) exhibition in Buenos Aires at the Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos (formerly ESMA), alongside Luis Martínez Salas.

My artwork is now part of private collections around the world, including in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Canada, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Austria, Ireland, Italy, Germany, England, Portugal, Greece, Scotland, South Africa, Korea, and Japan.
